Development Grants

Development Grants are support grants which individual member groups in Scotland can apply for to enable them to develop their own training and development initiatives.  Examples of such training initiatives could be vocal groups hiring a vocal coach to improve the group's vocal technique or to improve sight singing skills, or an orchestra hiring professional instrumentalists to help improve instrumental skills etc.  Development initiatives could include support for generating new members.

At the current time, grants are limited to a maximum of £500, and the group is expected at least to match the size of the grant being requested.  Groups can collaborate on a joint project.

Application deadlines are 30th April (for programmes to begin July to December) and 31st October (for programmes to begin January to June).
