The Making Music
Scotland Committee

Making
Music Scotland is managed
by a Committee of volunteers assisted by
the
Development Officer (Scotland).
The members of the
Committee are representative of all
types of member group and are drawn
from all corners of Scotland.
The Committee's responsibilities include:

support of
member groups in Scotland via the
Visiting
System
-
provision of
advice and training/development opportunities
-
administration
of
Scottish Arts Council funds via the
Financial Aid
Scheme in the form of
guarantees against
loss for performing groups and opera/musical theatre
groups
-
implementation
of Making Music policy
-
representation
of members' interests to local and national government and
other
arts bodies
